The Johns Hopkins School of Medical Imaging offers full-time certificate programs that will train you to become a specialist of the highest caliber. We emphasize theoretical training and practical hands-on clinical experience to prepare you to become a leader in your selected field. Whether you wish to advance in clinical specialization, management, marketing, equipment sales or education, we'll make sure you're ready to take that first or next step in your career and excel beyond all expectations.
We offer 3 Core Programs in Medical Imaging:
- Radiography (18 months)
- Nuclear Medicine Technology (14 months)
- Diagnostic Medical Sonography (14 months)
And we also offer various Advanced Imaging Programs:
- Computed Tomography (CT)
- Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
- Mammography
Tuition
Tuition fees for the various imaging programs are as follows:
- Radiography $5,200
- Nuclear Medicine Technology $7,500
- Diagnostic Medical Sonography $9,000
- Computer Tomography $2,400
- Magnetic Resonance Imaging $2,400
- Mammography $1,000
- Interventional Cardiovascular TBA

Resources
With access to various facilities and resources, we try to make your hard work a little easier. During the course of your study, the following resources will be available to you:
- 120 imaging suites or portable imaging devices
- Extensive Radiology library
- School of Medicine Welch Medical Library
- Research facilities of the Department of Radiologic Sciences
- AV equipment, including a high-resolution LCD projector, a Video Disk Player and 4 slide projectors
- 2 computer labs equipped with PCs and Macs with Internet access
- Anatomical models and phantoms
- Student lounge with microwave and refrigerator

Housing
Whether you want to live on-campus or off, we have several options from which you can choose. Lowell J. Reed Hall residence has single rooms, suites and compete study and laundry facilities. Charges vary according to type of accommodation requested. For updated fees, call the residence hall at 410.955.3905. Meals may be purchased at the Hospital cafeteria. Health Services
The University Health Clinic provides medical services for students enrolled in the student health plan. If you're not enrolled, but have adequate comprehensive health insurance, then you may also be eligible for care.
Health insurance is required for all students - you may elect to enroll in the Employee Health Plan Student Insurance or be covered as a dependent on a family member's policy. HMO's or PPO's are also acceptable.
